Hi everyone, especially on ebay staff, I would like to ask, when the Philippines will be able to register on the Paypal mode of payment? it's a very tedious process making payments with the bnk, and furthermore, some sellers don't do transactions if they're not paypal members.

You may not notice it, but I guess Philippines will produce a number of paypal user, just in case.

The bank here always requires the IBAN #, SWIFT code, and account # of the seller, w/c unfortunately, not all sellers have these.

At this point in time, it is uncertain when the services of PayPal will be available to us here in the Philippines.

The eBay folks are very aware of the situation here on the PH site and are trying to do their best to improve things.

Some of our concerns may take a little time to finalize while others are in the final stage of the solution.

Rest assured, they are on top of things.

By the way, these were answers given previously regarding the topic you inquired about.

PayPal may not be available in the Philippines in the near future because of the following reasons:

1. Banking system here in the Philippine.
2. Governments policy about the influx or rather out flux of US Dollars.
3. Relative level of potential fraud.

Unless these issues and others are resolved, PayPal may have difficulty putting the Philippines in their service coverage.

I just hope they can resolve all the issues as soon as possible so the eBay Philippine community would have a reliable and worldwide accepted payment processor.
